  2. Mission Statement Our mission is to create and develop quality, cost-effective educational games for 21st Century schools and homes. War Between the States, 1861-1865 is a quality, educational board game created for classroom and home use providing an exciting scope and sequence to learning about the tumultuous period of time in United States history.

  3. Project Objective War Between the States, 1861-1865 provides an interactive, hands-on approach to learning historical facts about the Civil War through a board game and three dimensional figurines using graphical art to portray scenes and images from history that will draw in student’s interest into learning about key points of historical facts fulfilling core curriculum standards. Because of the content depth and readability, War Between the States, 1861-1865 is designed for ages 8 and up.

Project Constraints • Scope: Statement of Work • Quality: Needs to withstand wear and tear from a classroom or home environment- Using quality artists and printers. • Schedule: Critical End Date: March 1, 2013. • Current Estimate: February 8, 2013 • Budget: To make the game affordable for educators and still profitable, the budget needs to come under $200,000. This keeps the game under $60.00 coming within standard board game pricing. • Resources • Risks

  10. Critical Path • The Critical Path is 91 days. This time encompasses the mock-up of the game, testing, finalization, and printing of the components. If these tasks can’t be done on time or early, the project cannot be finished on time.

  11. Critical Success Factors 1. Agreement among the project team, customer, and management on the project goals. 2. A plan that shows an overall path and clear responsibilities, which is also used to measure progress during the project. 3.
