  1. A Complete After Care Guide to Lash Extensions We all dream of having naturally long, full and feathery eyelashes without coating them with mascara. Lash extensions have become a trend that has sprung up over the past few years. Eyelash extensions are a great way to get the lashes of your dreams without having to apply them every morning. It saves a lot of time on your make up routine. People these days are getting trained for providing eyelash services and are coming up with their eyelash extension salon as it has become a lucrative business option. Although these extensions are long lasting, they require special care and maintenance. Proper after care is imperative for client’s retention as well as the eyelash salon reputation. How to Take Care of Your Eyelash Extensions: 1. After getting the extensions done, make sure to keep them dry for at least 24-36 hours. This will allow fixture of the adhesive as strongly as possible. 2. Lash extensions tend to get twisted around due to our sleeping position. So, avoid sleeping by pressing your face hard into the pillow. 3. When applied correctly, extensions are sturdy and strong, however, exposing them to high heat can take them down and distort them. So, if you are someone who likes to blow dry their hair, make sure to not point it in the direction of the lashes. 4. Extensions are delicate, so avoid getting your lashes in contact with your regular face wash. Use an oil free cleanser or an eyelash extension shampoo which will ensure the health of the extension. 5. Avoid touching or rubbing your lashes roughly. Doing so will cause the lash extension to prematurely fall out and can even damage the natural lashes. 6. Avoid applying additional mascara over your lash extensions, as this puts you at risk of losing lashes sooner than normal. Mascara application will also clump and tug the lashes together. 7. Brush out your lashes with a mascara wand, preferably the one provided by your lash technician, at least once a day, especially after getting them wet. Getting the lash extension is an excellent way to accentuate the beauty of your eyes but maintaining them is an art. Refilling should be done every 2-4 weeks to retain the look of your extensions. Make sure to visit the same eyelash extension salon from where you originally got them done as the technician there knows all about the same. There are a lot of options available when it comes to selecting the best eyelash salon. So, be sure to check the reviews and customer ratings before subjecting yourself to this delicate process.
