During the first 18 to 22u00a0months of pregnancy, a prenatal ultrasound called an anatomy scan is done. It examines the physical growth of your infant and can spot significant anatomical abnormalities as well as some congenital illnesses.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS AN ANATOMY SCAN Around the 20-week mark, you'll be booked for an ultrasound to take a detailed look at your baby to verify they're developing well WHAT IT IS Your baby will receive a thorough examination from your sonographer, or ultrasound technician, who will count their limbs and look at their internal organs. HOW LONG IT TAKES The anatomy scan will take one day to complete, and the reports from the various medical facilities may differ. Include a picture or illustration that represents the topic.
