  2. Water is an important resource for all human applications. Apart from consumption, it is essential to numerous industrial manufacturing processes as well. One of the most important uses is the in Pharmaceutical manufacturing. Water is used as an ingredient and solvent in the formulation and manufacture of pharmaceutical products. The quality of ‘pure’ water used in manufacturing differs as per the end product. For example, for manufacturing ampoules and other paraenteral products like injectables, the source water used is Water for Injection which is very pure in terms of quality of water.

  3. Maintaining control of the quality of water produced in a water system in pharma operation is very important. Utmost care needs to be taken to make sure that water produced is of the required quality and that its purity is maintained throughout the storage and distribution stages as well.
