  2. Assigned Groups of Three • Find your group and sit with them.

Individual Procedure • Each group member chooses 1 of the following articles to “own”: • What is Cerebral Palsy? • What are the Effects of Cerebral Palsy? • Types of Cerebral Palsy • Read your chosen article carefully and completely to yourself. • Highlight or circle the 10 most important words in the article.

  4. Group Roles • Recorder (you will write the group’s response) • Organizer (you will keep track of the group’s top 30 words) • Speaker (you will read the group’s finished product to the class)

  5. Group Procedure • The group will now write a summary describing cerebral palsy using the most important words. • The organizer keeps track of the thirty words (don’t worry about doubles) • The recorder writes down the summary • The speaker will share the finished product with the class.
