Suggested action for celebration of Earth Day and World Environment Day • Organization of films or slide shows in rural areas, villages, schools, colleges etc. on environmental themes • Tree planting ceremonies of local tree species that will survive through the month of April onwards • Organization of exhibitions, fairs, melas etc. on environment • Essay writing and Poster competitions • Organization of Nukkad Natak, Folk Dances, Songs and Music Shows on environment • Prabhat Pheris by NGOs and school children • Creation of Plant Nurseries in schools etc.

Suggested action for celebration of Earth Day and World Environment Day • Debates / lectures in schools • Posters in public places • Choosing products that are recyclable and also products made from recycled materials • Changing light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs and LED bulbs • Using energy efficient appliances • Preferring organic food
