  16. A great organization creates an environment where success isinevitable!

  17. What have we learned? Third Party management provides more weight in the eyes of clubs programs operated by the sport are at times seen as self serving…except when money is given out. Long-Term Athlete Development integration has been difficult. Clubs are focused on revenue, marketing and volunteers. PSOs and municipalities are thinking about financial accountability and governance. Certification is not the only benefit of Club Excellence…building capacity is the start.

  18. Why Club Excellence for NSO and PSO? Building a sustainable model – a model based on sound business strategy, that provides support to the market – your members. Third party operated – Club Excellence is in the business of improving all clubs, but will not push through a club not meeting the standard – removes the sport conflict from the equation. Return on Investment – to create, manage and operate a program that is effective, adds value to the sport development function, and leverage economies of scale by working together. Connect back to NSO and PSO initiatives – we are not the sport expert, we want the clubs to build strong relationships with their PSO and NSO (such as CanoeKids in CKC)

  19. Why Club Excellence for Clubs? Third party operated – Club Excellence is voluntary, we are not the NSO or PSO forcing you to do another program, supported with a national marketing program. Return on Investment – competitive landscape, parents are starting to become more selective on where to spend their dollars, athletes their time. Tools and resources – support to become and remain certified, provide support to use the brand and leverage in marketing initiatives. Policies to meet future demands and the changing landscape of community sport. Demand our athletes to put in a strong effort, practice hard and play hard…why not volunteer boards?
