  1. Alive-O 8Term 2:Lesson 2 What am I trying to do? Explore the children’s experience of Christian witness. Why? So as to foster in them a developing sense of their baptismal and/Confirmation call.

  2. The Early ChurchActs 2:43-47 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

  3. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

  4. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.

  5. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people.

  6. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

  7. Teacher’s Manual Read The Early Church on page 118. Lead discussion with CONSIDER on page 118.

  8. Guidelines for Christian Living&The Ten Commandments Read and discuss. Teacher’s manual, page 118-119.

  9. Precepts of the Church • To come together to celebrate Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation. • To fast and abstain on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. • To confess sins at least once a year. • To receive Holy Communion at least during the Easter season. • To give financial support to the Church and clergy.

  10. Read about Concern Volunteers, Jean Vanier And St Therese of Lisieux and consider how They lived their commitment to their faith in Jesus. • How did they each follow Jesus’ example? • How did they each live the Ten Commandments and the Precepts of the Church?
