  1. True or False?It’s ok to put this is a recycling bin.

  2. False! Plastic Bags AND Bottle Caps Are NOT recyclable at your local Waste Management facility. Remove all caps from bottles and DO NOT use plastic grocery or garbage bags when recycling. Put them straight into your recycling bin or use a cardboard box.

  3. Its plastic, why cant we recycle it?!? • Most bottles are made from PET #1 plastic, caps are made from polypropylene, or plastic #5. • These two different types of plastic melt at different temperatures so they need to be processed separately. (The Waste Management facility for Tampa can process #1 through #7 plastics.) Plastic bags clog the machines at the Recycling Facility. Take your plastic bags to your local grocery, they have a special recycling center JUST FOR PLATIC BAGS, AMAZING!!
