  6. The website provides detailed instructions on everything that you need to know about using the BRET poster printing service. A summary of what you should know is given below. Please read the Poster Printing website at : http://bret.mc.vanderbilt.edu/bret/php_files/poster2.php • A request form for your poster must be filled out and submitted. This form is • located on the website or may be picked up in my office. • If there is no one at the desk, please leave a completed request form with accurate • information and we will contact you either by phone or email. Note: • (Office can not call long distance cell number, sorry for the inconvenience.) • Please allow enough time to review the poster with the person accepting your • poster and request form. This is important to ensure that we will be able to • print your poster. If we do not review your poster, we cannot guarantee that • the poster will be printed properly.

  7. Technical Specifications • File should be in PowerPoint, PDF, Illustrator, or Publisher format, and can • be created on a PC or Macintosh. • As the paper used is 36 or 42 inches wide, please ensure that one side of your • poster has one dimension (including the white space border). This allows your • poster to be printed with a large amount of white space around the edges. Please • do not submit a file that is improperly sized. Scaling it may lead to changes in the • outlay and distort the images. • We accept files through email or on CD, zip disk, or USB drive. • A minimum 1/2 inch white space is required on all side of the posters to allow for • variations in printing. • Use standard font like Arial or Times is recommended. Use of non-standard fonts • or special characters could lead to missing text or characters after printing.
