  1. MOVEMENT TRACKING SYSTEM (MTS) TURN ON THE SYSTEM & LOG INTO THE CONTROL STATION INSTRUCTOR:

TASK: SWITCH ON AN MTS UNIT THAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE OFF CONFIGURATION & PROPERLY TYPE IN THE USER NAME AND PASSWORD.CONDITION: IN A CLASS ROOM ENVIRONMENT GIVEN A PROPERLY CONNECTED MTS CONTROL STATION TURN ON AND LOG INTO THE SYSTEM.STANDARD: TURN ON THE SYSTEM IN 7 SECONDS OR LESS. LOG INTO THE SYSTEM IN 45 SECONDS OR LESS.

  3. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: LOW HANGING WALL MOUNTED TV, WIRES FROM WALL TO COMPUTER AT THE FRONT OF THE CLASS, SLIPPERY SPOTS FROM MELTED SNOW, STATIC SHOCK FROM LAPTOPS. RISK ASSESSMENT LEVEL: LOW ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS: NONE

  4. 1: OPEN THE LAPTOP BY PRESSING THE SLIDE RELEASE TO THE LEFT. LIFT UPWARDS GENTLY ON THE SCREEN. OPEN IT TO A 90 DEGREE ANGLE OF THE KEYBOARD. 2: LOCATE THE POWER BUTTON ON THE UPPER PORTION OF THE KEYBOARD AREA OF THE COMPUTER. 3: PRESS THE POWER BUTTON IN A DOWN WARDS MOTION THE SCREEN WILL FLASH THROUGH VARIOUS SCREENS OF INFORMATION. AFTER THIS BRIEF START UP THE LOG IN SCREEN WILL APPEAR. IT IS SIMILAR TO MOST OTHER COMPUTER LOG IN WINDOWS.

  5. 4. TYPE IN THE USER NAME WHICH IS mts, IN THE USER NAME BLOCK. 5. TYPE IN THE PASSWORD WHICH GoArmy2000, IN THE PASSWORD BLOCK. 6. PRESS ENTER OR CLICK ON LOG IN ON THE LOG IN WINDOW. NOTE:THE USER NAME AND PASSWORD ARE CASE SENSITIVE.

  6. NOTE: IF THE PASSWORD OR USER NAME IS ENTERED INCORRECTLY MORE THAN 3 TIMES THE SYSTEM WILL LOCK OUT. THE ONLY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ALLOWED TO RESET YOUR SYSTEM IS THE MTS CIVILIAN CONTRACTORS.

  7. REVIEW 1. HOW MANY TIMES CAN THE PASSWORD BE ENTERED INCORRECTLY? 2. TRUE OR FALSE IS THE USERNAME CASE SENSITIVE? 3. WHAT IS THE CORRECT USER NAME? 4. WHAT IS THE CORRECT PASSWORD? 5. ARE YOU ALLOWED TO RESET THE USERNAME IF LOCKED OUT?
