  1. Space Done By: abdulla al nuaimi 9 Slides Of Space Information!

  2. Introduction • Good afternoon students and Mr. James. I will present you a PowerPoint Presentation about Space. These below will be the following slides. • The Universe • Earth’s Moon • The Solar System • Terrestrial Planets • Jovian Planets • The Asteroid Belt • Galaxies • Bibliography • Conclusion

  3. The universe • From where did our universe come from you ask? Why did it appear? • Answers: A theory about the origins of our universe (where planets, stars, moons all began). • Occurred about 10 billion to 20 billion years ago. • A huge explosion of a small volume of matter. • The universe is unexplainably huge, it contains billions of galaxies, stars and planets. • The largest known star is called: ‘VY Canis Majoris’, this star has a diameter of about 2,800,000,000 km! How can you imagine this size? Comparing this star with Earth, we’re not bigger than an ant if you’re looking at Earth from this star. You will need 1100 years to circle the ‘VY Canis Majoris’ one time at a speed of 900 km/h.

  4. Mythbusters Moon Landing Hoax Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mefEKqzq8cg Earth’s moon • The moon is Earth’s only NATURAL satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. There are many planets that have moons, such as Jupiter. The Earth’s Moon is actually a quarter of the diameter of Earth itself and 1/81 its mass. The first moon landing was made by the Soviet Union (now known as Russia), which wasn’t a human that landed. They sent a machine to land on there, but it crashed. The second moon landing was made by the United States of America, and they didn’t land a machine, they sent a human in the mission. America and the Soviet Union had a cold war since 1947 till 1991, it was called the “Space Race”. Some people believed that the U.S.A. human moon landing was true, others believed that it was just a hoax.

  5. The solar system • Planets from the sun: Mercury  Venus  Earth  Mars  Jupiter  Saturn  Uranus  Neptune  Pluto. • Inside our universe we find our solar system. Our solar system consists of astronomical objects that are bounded by the sun’s gravity. This includes: sun, planets, stars, moons, dwarf planets, comets, asteroids, inter-planetary dust. • Interesting Fact: Some planets are named after Roman and Greek Gods. • A planet is an object that orbits around a star (sun) and doesn’t make its own energy. There are 8 planets in our solar system. (Including Pluto) • The solar system contains more than one dwarf planet, it actually has four dwarf plants. • Dwarf Planets from the sun: Pluto  Haumea  Makemake  Eris.

  6. Terrestrial planets • A Terrestrial Planet is a rocky, solid or telluric planet. There are four terrestrial planets and one terrestrial dwarf planet. Terrestrial Planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. Terrestrial Dwarf Plant(s): Ceres. • The terrestrial planets are IN the asteroid belt.

  7. Jovian Planets • A Jovian Planet (also known as a gaseous planet or gas giant) is a planet that is composed of hydrogen gas and NOT composed by rocks or solid. Jovian Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Jovian Dwarf Planet(s): Pluto. • The Jovian Planets are OUTSIDE the asteroid belt.

  8. The Asteroid Belt • The asteroid belt is the region of the Solar System located roughly between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. The asteroid belt contains asteroids and rocks. This is a picture of the asteroid belt!

  9. galaxies • A galaxy is a massive, gravitationally bound system that consists of stars and stellar remnants, an interstellar medium of gas dust, and an important but poorly understood component tentatively dubbed dark matter. A galaxy is stored in the universe. We are now in the Milky Way Galaxy.

  10. Bibliography • Google.com • My Science Book • 67mst.weebly.com • Don’t Know Much About The Solar System (Book) AND NO, I DIDN’T ‘COPY-PASTE’!

  11. THE END • Thank you for listening to my presentation. • DON’T CLAP YET! • Animations By: Khalifa Al Nuaimi (My Bro) • PLEASE MAKE SURE TO VISIT:AbdullaAlNuaimi.weebly.com FOR EXTREME AWESOMENESS AND NOW I WILL START PUTTING FUNNY VIDEOS DAILY! • APPLAUSE NEXT SLIDE! 
