General Characteristics • Sedentary filter feeders. • Known as Coelomates (fluid-filled cavity) • Trochophore (larva that develops from the fertilized egg ) • Body has more than two cell layers. • The main feeding adaptation of many mollusks is the radula • Most mullusks are bilaterally symmetrical

  3. Three Interesting Facts • There are between 50,000 and 200,000+ mollusc species ALIVE! • Mollusks can be found almost everywhere. • Snails, clams and squid are important phylum mollusca examples.
