  2. Expectations – “operate as ‘belief sets’ or “action theories’ that influence our own efforts in relation to the achievement of desired goals and outcomes. In this way, expectations not only set our course, but also act as an internal compass.” Expectations for students vs. expectations of students.

  3. Expectations 1- Learning vs. Work 2- Understanding vs. Knowledge 3- Deep vs. Surface Learning 4- Independence vs. Dependence 5- Growth vs. Fixed Mindset
