  2. Steps for Building Metadata • Register your network and station names • Create a dataless SEED volume • Enter network information • Enter information for a single station • Add additional stations using the first as a “clone”

  3. Open a Dataless SEED Volume SelectDataless SEED file Click Load a…

  4. Cloning A Station Select a station Select Clone A Station and Launch it

  5. Enter Station Information • Enter the following information for the station you are creating: Clone the selected station to additional stations by clicking Add Row

  6. Update Information as Needed Select channels from the new station to edit information such as sample rates, epoch times, orientations. Choose Select Instrumentation and Launch if if you need to update the instrument response

  7. The Final Result • A Dataless SEED volume containing • Network information • Description of a all stations in your network • All channels • All epochs
