DBHAC Membership • Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services • Department of Health • Department of Emergency Management • Department of Aging • Department of Social Services • Department of Education • Community Service Boards (1 rural and 1 urban) • University/College • Red Cross • Private Practice • Community Member

  3. DBHAC Objectives • I. Provide guidance and coordination of resources on Virginia emergency preparedness objectives and state and federal requirements that address behavioral health workforce related issues to include appropriate training, protocols, and support needs of public health, behavioral health and volunteer workforce. • II. Address state agency grant requirements for behavioral health.

  4. DBHAC Objectives • III. Assess needs and provide recommendations for behavioral health planning regarding disaster preparation, response, recovery and mitigation to emergency preparation and response management. • IV. Advise VERT External Affairs and others as needed in risk communications planning to be sure stress issues for the public are addressed in messaging. • V. Maintain communication network for disaster behavioral health partners in Virginia.
