  3. Sustainable Water Infrastructure Task Force Report • An analysis of potential funding sources and financing options • Recommendations would be included in the FY 09-10 budget proposal • Report is due on October 1, 2008

  4. Issues to be Addressed • The actual costs of water and wastewater services • The gap between water and wastewater service and infrastructure financing needs • Targeting funds to address urgent needs

  5. Legislative Changes • Effective system management • Asset management • Efficient operation • Regionalization • Maximization of Non-Structural Solutions

  6. Membership • State agencies • Local government • Water and wastewater industry representatives • Pa House and Senate chairpersons from the Local Government Committee and the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee

  7. Timeline • Initial Meeting on April 14, 2008 • Task Force and Subcommittee Meetings through July • Public hearings Spring ‘08 • Final report October 1, 2008
