  2. Day commemorates all New Zealanders who have died in warin 1915. National Memorial Day is celebrated on April 25.The same date is the anniversary of the landing of the Australian soldiers in New Zeland.

  3. ANZAC stands for Australia, New Zealand Army Corps. The 25th of April was officially named ANZAC Day in 1916.

  4. Anzac Day is veryimportant day for New Zealand and Australian people. They have not forgotten about the fact that their countrymen were killed in the war .

  5. Anzac Day is a national public holiday and is considered by many Australians to be one of the most solemn days of the year.

  6. Poppies are a symbol for Anzac Day Every year, Australians place them on theRoll of HonourattheAustralian War Memorial.

  7. Australians recognise 25 April as an occasion of national remembrance, which takes two forms. Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time of the original landing – across the nation. Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres. Commemorative ceremonies are more formal and are held at war memorials around the country.
