What kinds of life don’t we know about? • Is our definition of “life” wide enough? How is it sustained? Where?

  5. What kinds of information does he provide? • Tons of examples: forms of species, environments, • DNA, genetic makeup • Single-cell organisms, eukaryotes, prokaryotes (sp?) • Multi-cellular, algae, birds, insects, mammals • All continents

  7. What kinds of assumptionsdoes he make? • There will always be life • Reader needs it broken down • More out there that we don’t know about (turn over a log) • Assumptions about readers

Why does he hold back from drawing conclusions or talking about implications and consequences here? • He wants to establish himself • He doesn’t want us to blow this off • He is establishing his credibility • He wants to put it out there for us to think about it • Start off small to get us looking
