  2. A polyhedron is a space figure, or three-dimensional figures, whose surfaces are polygons. Each polygon is a faceof the polyhedron. An edge is a segment that is formed by the intersection of two faces. A vertexis a point where three or more edges intersect.

  3. Vertices: D, E, F, G, H Edges: DE, EF, FG, GD, DH, EH, FH, AND GH Faces: GHD EFH FGH DEH and quadrilateral DEFG

  4. Cross Section: the intersection of a solid and a plane You can think of this as a very thin slice of the solid.

  5. Describe the cross section. p. 691: 1, 3, 6-8, 18-20 The cross section is a rectangle.
