  3. WHAT DOES SHAREPOINT HAVE TO DO WITH LAWSON?

  4. Lawson is an integrated, Web-based system, as is SharePoint. Access to Lawson is through the “Portal” using your browser (Internet Explorer). This is the same for SharePoint. From SharePoint you can access the Lawson Portal. From Lawson you can customize your profile to access SharePoint. WHAT DOES SHAREPOINT HAVE TO DO WITH LAWSON?

  6. ACCESSING LAWSON TRAINING LIBRARY VIA SHAREPOINT Go to www.tacomaschools.org to login to the Lawson Training Library. Click the “Sign In” link located in the lower right corner of the Web site below the footer.

  7. ACCESSING LAWSON TRAINING LIBRARY VIA SHAREPOINT At the login prompt enter your TPS network username and password in the following format: perimeter\username TPS network password

  8. ACCESSING LAWSON TRAINING LIBRARY VIA SHAREPOINT Your login is successful when you see a welcome message and menu below the footer.

  14. MANAGING CONTENT IN LAWSON TRAINING LIBRARY Click “Site Actions” Click “Manage Content and Structure”

  15. ADDING NEW CONTENT • Add a new script: • Click the drop-down arrow to the right of “Script Documents”. • Select “Open Link in New Window”.

  16. ADDING NEW CONTENT The script documents dialog box appears.

  17. CREATING NEW SCRIPTS Create a new script document: Select New Create a new document Enter data Save

  18. CREATING NEW SCRIPTS If prompted for your login and password again, simply click Cancel. You DONOT need to re-enter this information. Choose OK to continue and open script. Blank script template

  19. SAVING NEW SCRIPTS Double click Script Documents library Name your script Choose Save

  20. SAVING NEW SCRIPTS This dialog box appears: Enter the Lawson Training Category and Script name and select “OK” to complete your script.

  21. LINKING NEW CONTENT Here is where you can link a Process and/or Screen Shot document to your script. NOTE: You must first create a new Process/Screen Shot document by repeating the steps above, and saving it as a “Process Document” or “Screen Shot Document”.

  22. LINKING NEW CONTENT • Link a Screen Shot or Process: • Hover over the Script name you created. • Click drop-down arrow to the right. • Select Edit Properties.

  23. LINKING NEW CONTENT Enter the URL address for the Screen Shot or Process document and select OK. Find the URL in the Process library or Screen Shot library where you saved your document and copy the URL address to paste in the appropriate field.

  24. Click “Site Actions” Click “Manage Content and Structure” FINDING THE URL

  25. FINDING THE URL Choose Process or Screen Shot documents. Hover over the desired document on the right-hand pane. Right click and choose “Copy Shortcut.”

  26. ADDING THE URL • Go back to your Script Documents dialog box and paste the URL address.

  27. PERSONALIZE THE URL • Below the URL, enter the link’s name that will display on the Web page. • Click OK

  28. NEW CONTENT ADDED • A new Script, Screen Shot and/or Process will display “!NEW “ behind name.
