  1. NASE IN WDC - 2013 Three members of NASE traveled to Washington, DC, April 23-25, 2013. Others, not so fortunate, attended via VTC or telephone – Cindy Porter (NASE-Pres), Nancy Reiff (NASE-Secretary), Zone Representatives Jill Monson (A), Heather Culwell (B), Carol Truman (C), and Beth Perkins (D) Committee Chairpersons also joined via telephone during some of the sessions – Tanya McIlravy (IT), Erin Aten (IT, Webmaster), Jill Uffelman (FP), and Jarita Spaulding (FLP)

  2. Administrative Solutions Project NASE met with • Marcus Graham, Senior Policy Advisor to the Administration • Chris Nelson, Assistant Secretary for Administration under Secretary Vilsack • Jamie Wadzink

Juan was able to tell NASE officers of the approval of 714 funds and no furloughs for FSA employees.

  16. NASE Officers Marilyn McMullen, Susan Long and Rhonda Hoffman took the night tour of the District of Columbia, affectionately known as “the District” by those who frequent the area. Here, Rhonda and Susan pose in front of the White House (north side) with the red, white and blue flowers on the lawn.

  17. NASE Officers Marilyn McMullen, Susan Long and Rhonda Hoffman visited Ruby Tuesday restaurant where we received lessons in the proper pour of Guinness from Michael. Michael graduated from college in Boston with a degree in Political Science and is now waiting tables at Ruby Tuesdays. He will soon relocate to Manhattan (NY).

  18. The night tour of “the District” included stops at some of the mall monuments. To the left is the newest, a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. Note the size in comparison to the adults on bicycles.
