Who is the main character? • Name: Alice • Age:15 • Her talents skills and important trails are that she plays the piano. • Three Descriptive Adjectives: Nice, Emotional, Drug Addict • “Even now I'm not sure which parts of myself are real…life is positively great and wonderful and exciting” ( anonymous 5 ).

Who is a supporting character? • Name: Joel • Age:16 • Talents, Skills, Important Traits: helps people • Three Descriptive Adjectives: nice, caring, and amazing • “I tucked her in bed like mom always does and kissed her goodnight, she asked if she could come and get into bed with me if she got scared.” (Anonymous 135).

  4. What is the story about? • The story takes place in the United States. • Main Conflict: the main conflict is that she is a drug addict. She has no friends and she has low self of steam. And she goes in to a depression because her love of her life hurt her.

What is one important scene? • Describe exciting/powerful/important event /scene • An important event was when she started using drugs for the first time • Explain why you selected this scene to describe/ why is it important in the story? • We selected this scene because its important. The use of drugs what causes her to be different. Its also important because it is when most of her problems in life start.

Visual Image from an important scene • “Last night was the worst night of my blank, rotten, stinky, dreary mess-up life. there were only four of us, and Shaila and rod, her current “boyfriend, introduced us to heroin ” (Anonymous 77 ). • This scene is important because it was the first time she tried heroin. A very bad drug that can affect you a lot throught out your life.

What connections can you make to this book? • Compare to another book or to a current media/local/world situation: It is compare to the world to how now in days the teenagers be depressed and feel lonely and try to find easy exits • Explain: Aliceis very sad and lonely that has no friends that choses to have some but not good friends that introduce her into drugs, like now in days bad friends offer others to start doing drugs that gets them addicted to do so

Why should you read this book? • Reason You should read this book because it is interesting and in some way you learn from it because these days there is many teen kids using drugs& not knowing the consequences of it. • Reason: Even though Alice cant reparations for her mistakes, her life can still have meaning as her story lives on. Her lessons can teach us not to make the same poor choices. • Reason: It would be vacuous not to read this exciting book
