Mexico Political Factions • Mexico has three political parties the PAN, PRI, and the PRD. • PAN stands for National Action Party ( Partido Accion Nacional ) • PRI stands for Institutional Revolutionary Party ( Partido RevolucionarioInstitucional ) • PRD stands for Party of the Democratic Revolution (Partido de la Revolucion Democratica )

Mexico Government • The executive branch is president Ernesto Zedillo and the Legislative is Senate and Chamber of Representative and the judicial is the Supreme court of justice. • The constitution was signed on February 5, 1917 while asserting the primacy of the federal government. • The Legislation has 128 members of the senate, 500 members of Chambers of Representatives commission appointed 15 Representative and 14 Senators. • The powers of the Legislature law is pass almost the same as the United States and Senate is elected by territory. • The powers of the Executive Branch is the president is elected by people majority vote and is head of state. The president represents the country with diplomatic affairs, has veto powers and has control of the military as commander in chief. President Obama and Calderon

Mexico People • The language that the people in Mexico speak is Spanish brought by Hernan Cortez from Spain to conquer the land of Mexico. • People from Mexico had shown courage in the battle of Puebla. • Benito Juarez improved education in Mexico and others like Miguel hidalgo and Francisco Pancho Villa. • Mexico people has very strong belief and there majority is catholicism.

  5. Mexico Election • The president is elected for a six year term by the people. The candidate win when she/he has the most votes. • The congress of union has 2 chamber. The chamber of deputies and has 500 members, elected for a three year term. • The other chamber is the chamber of senator and has 128 members and 2 seat are awarded to the plurality winner. • Each of Mexico’s 31 states elects a governor to serve a six year term.

Mexico Economy • The economy of Mexico is the 13th largest in the world in nominal terms. • Since 1994 crisis Mexico economy has improved. • The economy is rapidly getting modern industrial and service sectors. • Mexico investment take place in Mexico city covering development and investment opportunities.

  7. Mexico major problem • Poverty is one major problem and Mexico is a world leader in hunger reduction. • Another major problem is unemployment and there is 5.6% of Mexican that are unemployed. • Drug war is a major problem because they fight for regional control and Mexico is the main supplier of cannabis and methamphetamine.
