  2. About My Site :) Tenryu-ji is located to the westofKyoto the central part of the island Honshu The theme of Tenryu-ji is a place ofworship.

  3. History of Tenryu-ji Tenryu-ji’s main function over the years has been a veneration of Gautama Buddha. The temple is said to of have been destroyed by a fire at least eight times. There was a hall in the temple that was mainly dedicated for the monks. The temple was founded in 1345. The temple was the number one Zen Temple in Kyto’s Five Mountain System.

  4. Interesting Facts about Tenryu-ji Temple If you go to the temple for lunch they will serve vegetarian lunches. Tenryu-ji’s name means (Temple of the Heavenly Dragon) There are many other temples near the gardens of Tenryu-ji. In the 1430’s the temple entered into a tributary relationship. Tenryu-ji is one of the most peaceful temples.
