  1. Sopro’s Phosphor Plate System.

  2. Share. PSPIX is natively designed for network integration. Located on its back, an RJ45 connector allows the PSPIX to be controlled independently by up to eight computers. Easy Transition. Gain all the advantages of argentic film and digital sensors, without any of the drawbacks. Visual Guide. The OLED screen located on the front guides the user, optimizing efficiency and proficiency. What’s more, a preview of the image is displayed after the scanning process is completed. Complete. 4 different sizes of plates can be automatically scanned, without additional user input. Those plates are included with the PSPIX. Hygiene. Protective covers and a motion sensor in the front insure no physical contact with the machine is required, minimizing the risk of cross-contamination. Quick. Scan time takes an average of 5 seconds, making the PSPIX one of the quickest units available on the market.

  3. Technology. Composition. Imaging plates are composed of a layer of very small particles of photostimulable phosphor (PSP) that are uniformly coated onto a polyester support film. Aging. The active, blue side of the imaging plates is sensitive to dust, scratches or groove created by bending. The imaging plates won’t age as a consequence of exposure. It is however advisable to change them every 2 years. Storage. A specially designed box is included with the PSPIX in order to store the plates. It protects the plates and should be located in a lit room, away from direct exposure to sunlight. The imaging plates Once the active side of the plate has been exposed, it should be inserted into the scanner. After around 5 seconds, the plate is read and erased, ready for reuse. Motion sensor The plate scanner

  4. Consumables. Hygiene bags. These hygiene bags are completely waterproof. Different sizes correspond to each imaging plate size; 100 of each size is included with the PSPIX. • Protective covers. • These covers come in different sizes, according to the imaging plate used, and allow: • Physical protection of the plate during its manipulation • Protection of the Xray image once the plate has been exposed • Limits the risks of cross-contamination of the plate and in turn of the PSPIX • The phosphor plates. • 100% active surface • Size 0 : 22x31mm, 2x included • Size 1 : 24x40mm, 2x included • Size 2 : 31x41mm, 5x included • Size 3 : 27x54mm, 1x included

  5. Simplicity. Screen. An OLED screen guides the user step by step, and thanks to its animations insures an efficient and safe use of the PSPIX. Moreover, the resulting Xray image is displayed after the scan process. Normal use Erasing in progress System ready Scan in progress Problem Software not ready Disconnected Wrong insertion Ergonomy. The 4 different sizes of imaging plates are automatically recognized, and do not require any additional user input.

  6. Simplicity. Optimisation. PSPIX automatically optimizes the grey levels, allowing for a wider dynamic range. • Reduced dose. • Xmind AC : 160 - 240ms • Xmind DC : 120 - 180ms PSPIX Argentic Under exposure Correct exposure Over-exposure • Quick. • 4.2s for an image in low resolution (45µm) • 7.3s for an image in high resolution (35µm)

  7. Sharing. Network. A lot of attention has been given to the integration of PSPIX within the network. It can therefore easily be independently controlled by up to 8 computers, without requiring a dedicated machine. Step 1 Step 2 Example of configuration with 6 machines Reservation on the computer PSPIX screen

  8. Security. Wireless Networks. When connecting to a wireless router, the main problem is the risks of a drop in the signal. PSPIX has been designed to work around this problem : it will keep the last image in memory until the connection can be re-established. Please note that in the above example, the PSPIX is connected to a wireless router, not included.

  9. Compatibility.

  10. Accessories. Accessory list included with PSPIX. A microfiber cloth to clean the plates. • A start-up kit of protectors, composed of : • 100x size 0 • 100x size 1 • 100x size 2 • 100x size 3 • A start-up kit of plates, composed of : • 2x size 0 • 2x size 1 • 5x size 2 • 1x size 3 Storage box An ethernet cable (3m) Th e latest version of Sopro Imaging, the easiest software to use on the market.
