  2. Where did he live? Hans Christian Andersen was born in the town of Odense in Denmark, on Tuesday, April 2, 1805.

  3. Hans Christian Anderson is famous for the many fairy tales he wrote. He visited Charles Dickens in 1847. He was very excited to meet Charles Dickens! What is he famous for?

  4. He wrote many, many fairy tales. Some of the most famous are: The Emperor’s New Clothes The Little Mermaid The Little Match Girl The Princess & the Pea The Snow Queen Thumbelina The Ugly Duckling Which Fairy Tales Did He Write?

  5. In the Spring of 1872, Hans fell out of bed and hurt himself. He never really recovered and he died in August 1875. There are many statues of him in Denmark today. When Did He Die?
