  11. VPort 56-2MP series Full HD (1080p) resolution Support H.264 and MJPEG triple streams @ 30 FPS 10X optical (6.3 mm - 63 mm); 16X digital zoom 3D noise reduction and sense up for harsh lighting environment -40℃ to 75℃ operating temp. without a heater or a fan Optional model with built-in single mode fiber 12/24VDC/24VAC and PoE+ redundant power CBR Pro and Dynastream support for flexible flow control EN50121-4, NEMA TS2 , ATEX Zone 2 compliance ONVIF Profile S compliance World’s 1st wide operating temperature IP zoom camera

  12. VPort 56-2MP outlook Reset button Audio In & Out DIO 485 serial Zoom camera module SD card slot Ethernet/PoE+ DC power

  13. Full HD (1080p) Resolution “p” stands for progressive scan 1080 lines of vertical resolution 16:9 aspect ratio 1920 lines of horizontal resolution → 1920 x 1080 pixels = 2M pixel Increasing : CPU computing power Bandwidth requirement

  14. Low illuminance environment 0.5 Lux : as full moon on a clear night

  15. AGC / Sense Sensitivity

  16. Result of Sense Sensitivity Level up to x32

  17. Special case : fast moving object The fast moving object will cause a blurred side effect.

  18. Noise Reduction Noise reduction is the process of removing noise from the input signal Methods of noise reduction can be divided into two types: 2-dimensional 2DNR, and 3-dimensional 3DNR (with time sequence) Decreases the bit rate of a video stream

  19. VPort 56-2MP DNR Settings

  20. VPort 56-2MP 3DNR testing results ON OFF

  21. Special case : Zoom in / out Side effect of blurred and incomplete image

  22. Accessories for the VPort 56-2MP

  40. Case Study How to : Saving CPU usage in SoftNVR-IA with dozens of cameras

  41. How to : Saving CPU usage • Case: • REQ: 28 channels H.264 720p @ 25 fps recording • Products & recording platform: • Camera : VPort 36-1MP • NVR software : SoftNVR-IA • Computer : CPU spec: ??? Intel Core i5 / i7 • Key factor : H.264 Video Decoding CPU Usage • Situation • In most of cases, users will not have more than 3x3 live video displays • Another reason, to balance resolution between camera & monitor • Solution • Enable the “Background Decode” option • Available SoftNVR-IA V3.2 ~

  42. Solution : Background Decode • Concept: • Video channel will not decode (or only decode partially) if it is not in live display • Reduce more CPU computing requirement • No video frame drops out in video recording files • Side effect: • A delayed display: a non-displayed channel -> a live-displayed one • Delay is based on IP camera FPS and GOP setting • Ex: 25 FPS , display delay < 600ms (GOP=15, MOXA default)

  43. SoftNVR-IA Configuration

  44. Background Knowledge I Frame I Frame p Frame p Frame p Frame p Frame p Frame p Frame Frame reference *It cannot start decoding from a none I-Frame H.264 / MPEG4 video frame type

  45. Background Decode- None • Switching ~ • Waiting for the coming I-frame • Display gray windows Live Display : 5 ~ 8 - Decode all frames of 5 ~ 8 Live Display : 1 ~ 4 - Decode all frames of 1 ~ 4 • Example: • 8 video channels in total • 4 live video displays at one time • CH5~8 stop decoding and displaying • Live display switch from channel 1 ~ 4 to channel 5 ~ 8

  46. Background Decode- I-Frame only • Switching ~ • Waiting for the coming I-frame • Show the last one I-frame • Live Display : 5 ~ 8 • Decode all frames of 5 ~ 8 • Only decode I frames of 1 ~ 4 • Live Display : 1 ~ 4 • Decode all frames of 1 ~ 4 • Only decode I frames of 5 ~ 8 • Example: • 8 video channels in total • 4 live video displays at one time • CH5~8 decode I-frame only • Live display switch from channel 1 ~ 4 to channel 5 ~ 8

  47. Background Decode- All • Live Display : 5 ~ 8 • Decode all frames of 5 ~ 8 • Live Display : 1 ~ 4 • Decode all frames of 1 ~ 4 • Example: • 8 video channels in total • 4 live video displays at one time • CH5~8 decode and display all • Live display switch from channel 1 ~ 4 to channel 5 ~ 8
