  2. Agenda • 12:00 – Faculty Meeting • 12:30 – Department Meetings • 2:00 – Brief Report-outs

  3. Between now and April 15th • Review the goals and data you received today • Request any additional data or information you would like for the 15th as soon as possible • Talk with your colleagues, jot down ideas • Review any additional material you may have – course assessment data, course guides, industry standards, etc.

  4. Where to go… • See memo for specific room locations • Special Education teachers go with co-teacher • Guidance will attend as needed • Administrators will attend for ½ hour to answer questions, get you started, etc. • If you don’t know where to go…see me at 12:30

  5. For each goal, answer… Why does the team think students are performing poorly? What action items can be implemented to address this problem? What teaching or instructional supports, if any, are needed and by when?

  6. Suggested Format • Briefly meet as a group • Each person summarizes their interpretation of the data and goals • Break into small groups • Consider breaking into groups by grade level (Grades 9 and 10, and Grades 11 and 12) • Appoint a note taker (to fill out form) and timekeeper (to watch the clock) • Return forms to materials facilitator • Appoint a spokesperson to present ONE idea to the faculty at 2:00.

Sample Questions to Consider… • Does Southeastern have an achievement gap? • Is our 12th grade relevant and meaningful? • What is Accuplacer? • How can your department integrate technology, specifically Word, Excel, and Internet research literacy? • Before creating something new, can we use an existing initiative or idea more effectively?
