  3. The Model • Allocate an e-learning mentor to each enrolled staff member (approx. 15 staff for each 1 EFT teacher) • E-Learning mentor assists in:- • selecting an existing resource for a unit to be taught by the mentee • customisation of resource • development of facilitation strategy • delivery of the unit • evaluation of unit

  4. The Model cont. Process is repeated 3 times 1st cycle – Mentor has a 80% involvement 2nd cycle – Mentor has 50% involvement 3rd cycle – Mentor has 15% involvement Mentoring is the focus of the model. The curriculum informs the mentoring process and does not dictate the process.

  5. The Assessment • Holistic workplace assessment • Evidence is gathered by the mentee for each unit throughout the mentoring process Note:- Assessment based on the curriculum documents not e-learning mentors expectation.

  6. Funding the Model Consider funding opportunities such as:- • OTTE Innovation Fund • AFLF LearnScope • OTTE E-Learning Grant

  7. The Benefits • Upskilling of staff • Increased e-learning offerings • Sustainable change in teaching practice
