  2. What CI’s should have read • NHMRC Funding Rules • NHMRC Advice and Instructions • NHMRC Peer Review Guidelines • NHMRC Category Descriptors (re-worded)

  3. What CI’s should have done • By now CI should have created /updated Profile and CV in RGMS. • Looked at the list of CV/Profile requirements per scheme on MRO webpage. • Lodged a Notice of Intent (mandatory UOM requirement)

  4. Simplified MR submission process • UOM Lodgement Coversheet (writable PDF) to be emailed with draft application for review. No signatures required at this time. • No final hard copy of NHMRC application required. Only UOM Authority to Submit (ATS) form (writable PDF) to be delivered to MR when final application has been certified. Can use electronic signatures, must be fully signed, have CI and/or AI email approvals attached.

  5. RGMS CHANGES • Reduced content Part A and Part B • Some previous RGMS data has transferred to Grant Proposal PDF. • Only 2 snapshots produced instead of 3. • More eligibility checks automatically done by RGMS e.g. outstanding reports.

  6. NHMRC Development Grants • Minimum Data Requirement • 28 May 2014 • Administering Institution • Application Title • Synopsis • Research Team • Other Key changes • 50% removed as NFFC • Primary and secondary spokespersons replaced with Scientific and Commercial Spokespersons

NHMRC Partnership Projects • Keys changes • Clarification of who can be partner • Budget – salary/expenses CIs and AIs removed • No longer option to revise and resubmit • Assessment criteria: research question/problems that policy/practice partner(s) need answered must be sated in application and letter od support • Special Initiative: Hearing Loss Prevention
