How to fix “QB-6000-77” There are several solution to fix this error. Solution 1: Download and run the QuickBooks File Doctor Solution 2: Configure firewall and security software Solution 3: Use UNC path instead of mapped drive Right-click the QuickBooks icon on your desktop, press and hold the Ctrl key from your keyboard and select Run as Administrator. Hold down the Ctrl key until you have the No Company Open window. Note: Holding down the Ctrl key prevents QuickBooks Desktop from autopening a company file. From the File menu, click Open or Restore Company. Select Open a company file and click Next. In the left Pane, click Network and navigate to the location of your company file. Solution 4: Recreate damaged folder • Create a new folder on your C:\ drive. • Open the folder where the company file is saved. • Locate the .qbw file. • Example: • company_file .qbw • Right-click the .qbw file and select Copy. • Open the new folder, right-click and select Paste. • Set folder permissions. • Open QuickBooks Desktop and open the file from the new location.
