FORCE AND PRESURE TODAY WE WILL LOOK WHAT IS FORCE, IT’S TYPES AND WHAT IS PRESSURE, HOW WE FACE IT IN DAILY LIFE?
WHAT IS FORCE ? WHEN WE PUSH OR PULL SOMETHING WE APPLY FORCE ON IT . FORCE CAN CAHNGE THE STATE OF MOTION. EX- IF WE PADEL A BICYCLE THE SPEED WILL INCREASE AND AFTER A TIME IT SLOWS DOWN DUE TO FRICTION FORCE. FORCE CAN ALSO CAHNGE THE SHAPE OF OBGECTS. SUCH AS WHEN WE PRESS TOTHPASTE TUBE AND WHEN WE PREPARE DOE FOR ROTTI. THIS ARE EFFECT OF THE FORCE, BY SEEING THIS THING WE CAN SAY THAT THE FORCE IS APPLIED OR NOT
TYPES OF FORCES:- Contact forces:- those forces which act only we the body are in contact. There are two types of contact forces Muscular force:-when force is applied by the mass of the body. Animals like horse, bullocks etc. used their muscle power to carry weights. Machinery force:- when force is applied by machine such as scissors, staplers etc. or big machines use force to do work.
Types of forces:- Friction :- force of friction is the force which oppose the motion of an object over a surface . E.g.- a ball rolling on ground slows down and came to rest due to force of friction. Due to friction we are Able to walk on ground, able to catch anything. So, friction is a important thing in our daily life
Types of forces:- Non-contact force:- those force which can work without in contact is called non-contact force. There are three types of non-contact force Gravity :- gravity is the force that holds everything to earth. The big bodies have greater mass as they attract other bodies towards them. Electro static force:- when we rub the e balloon with a synthetic cloth it gets charged. If we sticks the balloon with wall it get sticks as the charged body attracts uncharged body towards it .like the same poles of magnet repel each other and the different poles attract each other.
Types of force :- Magnetic force:- magnetic force is other non-contact force which is exert by the magnets on other magnet or metallic substance such as iron, nickel etc.
what is pressure ? Pressure is the force acting on unit area of a surface. pressure = force area If the area is smaller the pressure is more on the surface for the same force. e.g. it is easier to push a nail into a wooden plank by its pointed end than its head because the pressure is more
Pressure exerted by liquids Liquids exert pressure on the walls of a container. Liquids exert pressure on the bottom of a container . It depends upon the height of the liquid column. Liquids exert sideways pressure Liquids exert equal pressure at the same . Gases exert pressure on the walls of a container .such as balloon, tyre etc.
Atmospheric pressure:- Atmospheric pressure is the pressure of air around us. Atmospheric pressure is due to the weight of air. The weight of an air coloumn of the height of the atmosphere and area is 10 cm*10cm is as large as 1000kg.
