From Chief Editor's Desk Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta HOD CSE (AI) B.Tech Artificial intelligence enables students with the required skill set to paint and build intelligent machines, applications and software along with cutting-edge machine learning, analytics and visualization technology. This course also enables students to design intelligent solutions to challenging problems from many industries, from enterprise applications to data mining and many more. This course is not just about confining your intelligence to a designated workstation, rather it opens up several possibilities to relocate and expand your core knowledge in different areas. IIMT College of Engineering strives to train students to work in a highly competitive and fast-changing work space and ensures a strong hold of talented students from our college in various organizations and sectors. gives us insight into the importance of a technologically driven environment. IIMT College of Engineering & Technology has consistently exhibited exemplary performances over the last few years while nurturing its students to lead various industries, corporate and technology forums. Now, through its Newsletter, the other institutions and the associated academia will be able to benchmark their own performances and achievements with the IIMT. I must congratulate the entire student community and their mentors at the IIMT who have made this happen through their constant endeavors. At IIMT, the Department of Computer Science (AI) is committed to lay down the benchmark in the field of technical education while maintaining industrial standards and expertise. Nowadays, when we think about a futuristic society, we can only think of a time when our daily lives will be much easier with the help of smart machines and technologies that we are thinking about right now. Club Activities Techno Flair Quiz Competition-2023 On 07th April, 2023, The AI & Technical Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI), IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida organized an online technical quiz on Algorithm, Java, and Computer Networks. There were 25 questions of 1 mark each. The students of second and third year of CSE(AI) and AI-DS of IIMT College of Engineering participated in the contest. A total of 48 students participated in the quiz. Out of 48 students, three students were selected as winners. Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, HOD, Department of CSE(AI), felicitated the winners. The consolation prizes were also given to second year students to appreciate their active participation. The coordinators of activity were Mr. Abhishek Kumar & Mr. Jai Prakash Bhati, Assistant Professors, Department of CSE (AI).   4. Debate Competition On Is Technology Making People Smart or Dumb? On 04th May, 2023, the AI & Tech Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering(AI), IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida organized a debate competition on “ Is Technology Making People Smart or Dumb? “ There were 16 participants of 2nd and 3rd year. The debate continued for an hour. There were some participants who were in support of the topic and others in the opposition. Based on their debating skills and content of the delivery, four participants were selected as winners. Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of CSE (AI), felicitated the winners. Mr. Abhishek Kumar & Mr. Jai Prakash Bhati, Assistant Professors, Department of CSE(AI) coordinated the event. Workshop On Cloud Computing (Basic to Advance) On 01st June, 2023 the AI & Tech Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI), IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida organized a workshop on cloud computing (Basic to Advance) The second year students of CSE (AI) and AI-DS participated in the workshop. Mr. Yash Bhaghel, the guest speaker, working as a senior cloud developer in Maven Wave, interacted with the students in a very cordial manner. He covered the fundamentals of cloud computing as well as demonstrated some basic applications of cloud computing in real world, like how we can host our applications worldwide in AWS, etc. The faculty coordinator for the event was Mr. Jai Prakash Bhati, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI). The student coordinators were Prerna Sharma and Aman Raj who conducted the event very successfully. The students were very enthusiastic and eager to learn new things. Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Associate Professor and Head of Department, CSE (AI) felicitated the guest speaker.   6. Industrial Visit to Expo & Conference On 07th April, 2023, the department of CSE (AI) & AI-DS, IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, organized an industrial visit for B. Tech 3rd Year students to Tech4Ed Expo & Conference held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The event was coordinated by Mr. Jai Prakash Bhati, Assistant Professor. The Program started with a conference in which experts from academia, technical education and industry enlightened the participants and delegates with the latest trends in the industries and the technologies that are emerging and affecting the world in many ways. This was followed by a career counseling session conducted by the experts from different industries, which helped students to decide their career path. Post lunch, students visited the expo where various stalls were showcasing their technical courses and software products, currently in great demand.
