How to Make Large Paper Flowers? Giant paper flowers are so trendy, but when you look at the finished product, it can be quite intimidating to try and make your own. We created a beautiful white cardstock paper flower that’s both elegant and fun to make, and can be used for many purposes. Creating giant paper flowers with white cardstock paper allows you to create once, and reuse the flower for multiple occasions since it goes with everything. Use them as a wedding decor, birthday decor, nursery decorations and more! Supplies Needed for Cardstock Paper Flower: • Cardstock (minimum 8.5×11 inches) • Cricut, Silhouette or other cutting machine. Or you can cut by hand, just simply print out the template provided and trace it on paper. • Hot Glue • A tool to curve the petals. You can use a quilling tool, wooden skewer or even a glue stick to curve the petals. Let’s Learn How to Make One 1. Cut the shape of the petals using a cutting machine or by hand. Cut six extra-large and large petals and five petals of medium and small size. A printable template will be included in the end of the post. 2. Cut 1.5 inch slit for extra-large and large petals. Cut 1 inch slit for medium and small petals. 3. Sort and stack your petals according to size. 4. Curve all the petals, curving outwards on both sides. 5. Apply glue and overlap the stem end of the larger petals. 6. For medium size petals make sure to overlap more. Repeat the process on all the petals. 7. Cut a circle with a diameter of 6 inch. Now glue the largest petals on a round base as shown below. Glue the extra-large petals and complete the round then, large, medium and finally small petals. 8. For making the center, cut two strips, one 11” x 4” and one 11” x 3.5”. Fold both strips in half and then cut fringes. 9. Roll the shorter strip up and glue it. 10.Next, open the large strip and fold it in half but leaving a 1cm gap and glue. 11.Now place the smaller rolled strip on the edge of the large strip and start rolling them together. When you reach the end, apply glue and stick it. 12.Stick in the center of the flower by using hot glue.
