BLOG 2- 2MCCTV Installation of PTZ Cameras The Pan, Tilt and Zoom cameras are those that offer directional and zoom control from remote devices. The PTZ technology is generally used in the cases of professional video cameras and television studios especially for sporting events and other live events due to the increased mobility and direction control they offer despite being fixed on one axis. The robotic cameras The Pan Tilt and Zoom functions can be automated and controlled by automation systems. They can be sold as a part of the cameras, or otherwise. The PTZ cameras are also commonly referred to as robos, or robotic cameras, and they reflect the movement options of the camera. Virtual and Actual panning The three major functions of the PTZ camera can be offered both as a physical movement including panning using the lens, tilting of the installed camera and optical zooming, or in some cases, the virtual pan tilt and zoom functions without actual physical movement of the camera. The virtual camera is cheaper and is usually used in the case of surveillance cameras that are connected to a digital video recorder that would record the events in the field of view with full clarity. Auto tracking and auto focus The firmware of the PTZ camera helps in the auto tracking and auto function capabilities by a simple but ingenious method. The camera monitors the changes in the pixel of the video when there is movement in the field of vision. The camera that detects the changes will then move (either physically or digitally) to capture the movement. The optical lens can be auto adjusted to stabilise the image. Most cameras offer this auto focus functionality. 2M CCTV sells good quality bullet IP cameras, Wireless surveillance systems, PTZ Cameras.
