  2. Warm up Look at the images. Which of these animals can you name? Which of them are mammals?

  3. Write down the name of one of the animals in your notebook (don’t show it!). You have 30 seconds to describe the animal in as much detail as possible. Can your partner guess what animal you wrote down?

  4. Vocabulary

  5. Write the correct word or phrase from Part A in each sentence. You may need to change the form of the word.

  6. Discuss these questions with a classmate and use the word in bold in your answer 1. Do you think animals that are in danger of extinction can recover? 2. How important is it to monitor animals and know how many of each species there are? 3. Which animals are you curious to know more about?

  7. Look at the sentences below and say whether you think they are true or not

  8. Write the name of a different mammal in each gap.

  9. Discuss the questions below with a classmate. • 1. What is the biggest mammal in El Salvador? • 2. Can you name any animals that are in danger here? • 3. Do you know of anything that is being done to monitor or protect animals?
