How does Agriculture Marketing work in India? India is primarily an agricultural nation, and its agricultural industry is the primary source of income for one-third of the country's population. If none of these options is available, produce may be sold in the Krishi market or at sporadic marketplaces in adjacent towns or villages. There are a number of organisations in India's central government that are involved in the marketing of agricultural products. Some examples of these organisations include the Food Corporation of India, the Cotton Corporation of India, the Commission of Agricultural Costs and Prices, as well as Jute Corporation of India, among others. Marketing organisations that specialise in rubber, tea, coffee, tobacco, spices, and vegetables are likewise considered to be specialised.
