  1. Incredible Places in Houston That Promises Amazing Holiday Experiences Houston is the largest and the eight most expansive cities in the United States. It sits at the Harris County while small portions of the city extend towards Fort Bend and Montgomery bordered by principal communities like the Sugar Land and the Woodlands. Houston was originally founded in August 1836 at the confluence of White Oak Bayou and Buffalo Bayou and given the status of a city in June 1837. Houston has played an important role in shaping America’s history and it served as an important trade Centre during the 19th century. During the mid-20th century, the whole economy was booming in the sectors of industry, manufacturing, transportation, and oilfield.
