  2. MERCURY Mercury Facts!!!! Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. Mercury is the smallest of the eight planets in our solar system. Mercury takes around 88 Earth days, to complete three rotations of its axis. Mercury is gravitationally locked and this rotation is unique to the solar system.

  3. VENUS Venus Facts!!!! Venus is the second planet from the Sun. Venus orbits the Sun every 224.7 Earth days. Venus has the longest rotation period of any planet in the Solar System. Venus rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets. It has no natural satellite

  4. EARTH Earth Facts!!!! Earth is the third planet from the Sun. Earth is the densest planet in the Solar System. Earth is the largest of the Solar System's four terrestrial planets Earth is the only astronomical object known to harbor life.

  5. MARS Mars Facts!!!! Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun. Mars is the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, after Mercury.

  6. JUPITER Jupiter Facts!!!! Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun. Jupiter is the largest in the Solar System. Jupiter is a giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of the Sun, but two and a half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined.

  7. SATURN Saturn Facts!!!! Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun. Saturn is the second-largest in the Solar System, after Jupiter. Saturn is a gas giant with an average radius about nine times that of Earth.
