Cambodia Exported More Than 2.5 Million Tonnes Of Rice To The Philippines For The First Time Cambodia exported approximately 2,575 tonnes of rice to the Philippine market for the first time, Oknha Chan Sokheang, President of the Cambodian Rice Federation, confirmed this on the 26th of June. Cambodian Rice Exports Sokheng mentioned during the inauguration of the rice export market to the Philippines that the first large-scale export was carried out by the Khmer Food Group and the efforts of the Royal Government, which is constantly looking for a market for Cambodian rice. When meeting with other heads of state, such as the President of the Philippines who paid a visit to Cambodia during the ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Hun Sen always urged them to purchase more rice from Cambodia. Efforts Made To Open The Rice Market The opening of the rice market in the Philippines was made possible by the Rice Federation of Cambodia's diligent work and positive collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, particularly Green Trade Company.
