  1. Essential Documents For HCPC Registration In UK: A Guide for International Physiotherapists Are you an international physiotherapist looking to move to the UK? The good news is that you can become a registered physiotherapist without taking any additional exams! To register with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), you only need to provide specific documents to support your application. Here’s a detailed guide on the required documents for a successful HCPC application. 1. Proof of Identity and Address Proof of Identity: You must submit a document that shows your photographic ID. Acceptable forms include: ● A current passport, or ● A national identification card. Proof of Address: Your proof of address must display your full name and current address. The acceptable documents include: ● A household utility bill for electricity, gas, water, or a fixed telephone line (no older than six months; mobile phone bills from outside the UK are not accepted). ● A current full driving licence issued in the UK, another EEA state, or Switzerland. ● A bank, building society, credit card, or mortgage statement (no older than six months). ● A local government tax bill (e.g., council tax) valid for the current year. 2. Course Information and Professional Qualification Certificate You are required to submit: ● A completed HCPC course information form (the HCPC provides this). ● A certified copy of your professional qualification certificate, which proves your educational background. 3. Certificate of English Language Proficiency If you’re from a non-English-speaking country, you’ll need to prove your English language proficiency through one of the following: International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academically Global Pvt Ltd. Location Australia: Suite 207A/30 Campbell St, Blacktown NSW 2148 Location India: 46A, 3rd floor, Sidcul IT Park, Dehradun-248001, Uttarakhand Email: contact@academically.com Phone: +91 8069662074 Phone: +61 416 424 328 / +61 406 525 564

  2. ● A minimum overall score of 7.0 with no individual element below 6.5. ● The HCPC accepts both IELTS Academic and IELTS General tests. ● Under the new update, you can retake one IELTS skill, provided it's done within 6 months of the initial test. This will be valid for two years. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-Based Test (IBT): ● A minimum score of 100/120 is required. ● Note that TOEFL tests taken in the United Kingdom are not accepted. 4. Certifying Your Documents All documents uploaded to the HCPC's online portal must be certified copies of the originals. Certification must be done by a person of standing in the community (such as a doctor, lawyer, or notary). The person certifying must sign and date the documents within the last six months. Importantly, you cannot certify your documents. 5. Providing Translations If your documents are not in English, you must provide certified translations. These translations should accompany the original document and follow the same certification rules. 6. Declaration During the application process, you will be required to sign a declaration. This allows the HCPC to verify your: ● Identity documents, ● Professional qualifications, ● Good standing and character. The declaration ensures that you meet the HCPC’s standards for registration and gives them permission to perform background checks. By providing these documents, you’ll be well on your way to registering with the HCPC and pursuing your physiotherapy career in the UK. Ensure all your documents are up-to-date, certified correctly, and comply with the HCPC’s requirements to avoid delays in your application. You can also get help from the HCPC Registration Guidance to make the process easier. Academically Global Pvt Ltd.
