He said, “We will now send the details to the government.The government will consider that and give the final nod.” The bid was for the entire Rs 20,000-crore project.The total time frame for the project is seven years.This area is spread over 2.5 square kilometers.Under the project, 6.5 lakh people living in slums are to be rehabilitated.

The project was stuck for several years due to various complications.The successful bidder will get an opportunity to earn by selling lakhs of square feet of residential and commercial space in central Mumbai. The government had set a condition of at least Rs 20,000 crore net worth for the selection of the successful bidder.The technical and financial eligibility will be assessed before awarding the project to the highest bidder.
