  1. The Adani Group Receives Support From Local Residents For The Completion of the Dharavi Project

  2. The Adani Dharavi redevelopment project undertaken by the Adani Group has already gained massive support from the residents. The citizens of the world’s largest slum have shown their support for a key state government survey for the3 billion USD redevelopment project. This reflects the trust that the people have in the Adani Group and its chairman, Gautam Adani. This is a huge win for the Adani Group in the infrastructure development sectors. It will help the global conglomerate carry out its redevelopment works in the slum area with greater ease and convenience. The conglomerate will also be able to ensure that the people’s lives transform for the better.

  3. The Survey Works At The Dharavi Slum Area: The Adani Group is currently involved in surveying the Dharavi slum area. The survey is being headed by the Dharavi Redevelopment Project/ Slum Redevelopment Authority of the state government and the Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Limited. This is a joint venture between the Adani Group and the Government of Maharashtra. The main aim of the survey is to collect vital data from the residents of the Dharavi area. The data obtained will help the state government determine the eligibility criteria for the rehabilitation project. It will also help in properly allocating houses to the eligible candidates.

The Support From The Local Bodies: The Citizen and Society Development Welfare body of Dharavi residence has recently requested the DRP/SRA to conduct the survey as fast as possible so that the redevelopment activities can be conducted without further delay. The committee has also submitted a memorandum asking to expedite the survey. The residents have also asked the key surveying authority to take the necessary steps against any individual or group bringing about hindrances to the survey.

  5. How Will The Project Help The Locals of Dharavi? As per the Adani Group, the Adani Dharavi redevelopment project will improve the living standards of over a million residents. It will also develop an ecosystem of sustainable living and innovation in Mumbai. The government launched the Adani Dharavi redevelopment project to help the residents bring about a transformation in their lives. Under the redevelopment project, the eligible candidates will be offered homes of 350 square feet each. This is 17% more than any other SRA scheme in Mumbai. The houses will also come with attached bathrooms and kitchens so that the people face no inconvenience.
