  1. Blackjack: A Casino Classic – History, Rules and Tips for Playing. What is Blackjack? Blackjack, also known as Blackjack, is an exciting and popular card game in land- based and online casinos. Your objective is to reach a total of cards as close to 21 as possible, without exceeding this value. The game involves luck, strategy and a touch of skill, making it appealing to players of all levels. The History of Blackjack The exact origin of Blackjack is uncertain, but it is believed to have appeared in 17th century France, under the name Vingt-et-Un. From there, its popularity spread across Europe and reached America, evolving into the form we know today. In the 20th century, Blackjack established itself as one of the most played games of chance in casinos, gaining fame as an accessible, exciting and potentially profitable game. How to Play Blackjack? Blackjack uses the standard 52-card deck. The value of the cards is as follows: Numbered from 2 to 10: worth their printed number. • Jacks, Queens and Kings: worth 10. • Ace: can be worth 1 or 11, depending on the advantage for the player. The player is dealt two starting cards face up. The dealer is dealt two cards, one face up and one hidden. The player then decides whether to “ask” for more cards to try to reach 21, or to “stop” with the sum they have. The objective is to beat the dealer, having a sum closer to 21 without going over. • There are specific rules for the dealer, such as when he should “take” or “stand”, which the player must know to make strategic decisions.
