Compression limiters are the metal holes that are used to maintain tension and losing between the joints. Compression limiters strengthen the plastic and resist the applied compressive loads. For further information visit this site!

It is a type of insert designed to maintain joint integrity of a plastic assembly when tightening bolts or screws. They are designed for applications where the tightening load of the bolt or screw will compress, crack, or damage the plastic component. They provide a strong and reliable defence against the stresses caused by fastener torque. What are Compression Limiters?

Press in: Limiters are pressed in place with a predetermined amount of interference to the opening. Mold in: Limiters are put onto a core pin in the mold and the plastic is molded around the part. Thermal Insertion:Limiters are placed into the drilled hole that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the insert. A heated probe is used to handle heat and install the limiter. As the limiter is installed into the hole, the plastic is melted in the area around the part. When properly located, the probe is removed, and the plastic re-solidifies around the limiter. Ultrasonic Insertion:Limiters are placed into a drilled hole that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the insert. Ultrasonic energy is applied to the limiter by using an ultrasonic horn. The ultrasonic energy develops frictional heat and caused the plastic to melt as the limiter is installed in the hole of the plastic part. When properly located the probe is removed and the plastic re-solidifies around the limiter. Installation Methods
