DoDEA Today • DoDEA operates 200 public schools in 13 districts in 10 foreign countries, seven states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. • All schools are fully accredited by a U.S. accreditation agency. • Approximately 8,000 teachers serve DoDEA’s 84,000 students. • Approximately 10% of students receive special education services.

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Headquarters Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) DoDDS-Europe (87 schools-, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal Spain, Turkey) DoDDS-Pacific/ DDESS Guam (45 schools- Guam, Japan, Korean, Okinawa) DDESS (67 schools- Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and Cuba)
