  1. Tips to Cure your Golf Slice If you suffer from a poor slice with the golf driver or any other clubs, you need attention on a few keys points in order to enjoy a slice-free game.

  2. Introduction One of the most common problems afflicting golfers is the slice. The slice is a shot where the ball starts off to the left or on target and bends to the right of the target (or the opposite for left-handed golfers). A slice can occur for a variety of factors, but fixes and drills exist that can cure a slice with a little hard work and practice.

  3. Grip With a good grip and control of the club and proper swing plane, you’ll be able to get that crisp, solid shot. Note that the club face should be square at impact. You have better chances of keeping the club face square if the shaft of the club is pointing towards the target.

  4. Clubface If you want to correct your golf slice you need to keep the club face more square as you swing the club back. The proper grip ensures the club face square, but you must also keep your left wrist flat. If you can keep the left wrist flat as you get to the top of the backswing, you will have a square club face and hit the ball much straighter.

  5. Swing Path Golfers who slice the ball swing on an outside to an inside path as they approach the ball. To correct an outside to inside swing path, you need to get a full shoulder turn on the backswing. Getting a full shoulder turn on the backswing will allow you to drop the club down on an inside path to the ball.

  6. Swing with proper weight transfer Weight transfer on the downswing is as important as gaining a good stance. Remember to shift your weight from right to left on the downswing. For the reverse pivot, weight is supposed to transfer to the left on the backswing and right on the downswing. Weight Transfer will ensure that player will hit proper golf slice.
