A house is the only place that protects us from the harsh realities of the outside world; there is no other place that can give one as much comfort as one’s own house. Every individual deserves to have a place that they can live happily and safely in. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is that residential scheme which is introduced to bridge the gap between affordability and dreams.

PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJNA PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJNA – – A BLESSING FOR ALL HOME SEEKERS BLESSING FOR ALL HOME SEEKERS A “Acche Din Aa Gaye Hai!” the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stood by his promise to a great extent. He considers the fact that home is the basic need of every individual. To make buying a house a less dreadful decision for the weaker sections of the society, the Prime Minister has come up with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, an initiative under the Affordable Housing Scheme whose objective is to provide a standard housing facility to all the citizens of India. The housing project under this scheme includes providing a house with all the basic requirements of an individual such as running water connectivity, an all-time electricity supply, gas facility, and toilet facility and much more. It is the vision of the Prime Minister to help over 2 million poor families. The main objective of the Housing Awas Mission is to develop a total of 2 crore homes all across the nation.

There are many schemes that have been introduced for providing affordable housing such as the Delhi Awas Yojna, Apna Ghar Apni Delhi and many others, amongst those the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is considered to be the best because it aims to provide homes all across the nation and is focused mainly on providing affordable housing to the poor. Due to the increasing urbanization and rising population, the demand for housing facilities has greatly increased which has led to the prices rising to a level where buying a house has become a dream for the weaker sections of the society. The Housing Awas Mission had started in the year 2015 and is targeted to end by the time our country reaches 75 years of independence that is by 2022. Every construction under this residential scheme will be updated with the latest technology. Eco-friendly methods and natural resources will be used to promote a construction strategy that does not harm the environment. The residential facilities will include earthquake and other natural disaster resistant technologies, to ensure the safety of the respective residents. A subsidy of up to 2.30 lakhs is to be provided to all home purchasers under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna scheme, and this subsidy is to be taken from the central government treasury. Currently, the interest rate for a home loan is 10.5 % in the market, but under this residential scheme, the interest rate is 6.5 % which is clearly very beneficial to all its purchasers. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is a Pmay Housing Scheme that promises to provide the much-required security to all the citizens of our country.
