  2. First of all, you would like to see the cable connections between your Canon printer and your computer. confirm these cables aren't loose and your Canon printer is on.

  3. Check your printer tray. confirm your printer has enough paper and therefore the papers are aligned correctly. There should be no paper jams. Check if there's enough ink. If there's less ink, replace the old ink cartridges with new ones.

  4. Check for software updates on your Mac. If the software has not been updated, try installing the available updates. Click on the Apple menu and choose "software update". • Now click on the Apple menu> Restart Option.

  5. Then tap System Preferences> Print & Scan. within the printer list, select your printer by double-clicking it. A traffic light appears next to the name of your printer. Finally, touch the Resume button. • Now press Ctrl + P to print a document. Choose your Canon printer from the list of obtainable printers.
